Our Mission

Our mission is to create opportunity for kids and teens to enhance their own self-development by building confidence, boosting self-esteem, and experiencing the good life lessons that golf can instill through our program.

Caddies For Kids focuses on four pillars: Youth Mentorship, Junior Golf, College Scholarships and Internships.

Our Story

In 2021, we had both of our children playing junior golf tournaments around the Dallas metro area. During that time, we learned the demands (positive and negative) that a round of golf can have on both a child and a parent. As fun as it was to be on the bag, kids don’t always want to listen to their parents (imagine that!) and they can sometimes even blame you for their bad shots! We found that there always seemed to be a point in the round where the natural butting heads and stubbornness of the parent / child relationship seemed to happen…

We were lucky enough to know a great group of junior golf families at our home club, where we met one of the boys who was a Senior at Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. We had mutual connections and were introduced. After getting to know each other, we asked him if he would be interested in mentoring our son as a caddie. Shortly after, they played their first tournament and the response was overwhelming. Throughout the season, player parents would come talk to us and were intrigued about the idea of a high school caddie helping their child with advice, rules, and overall mentorship… not to mention, the effect that it had on our family – less stress, better results, more flexibility and improved attitude!

We understand that every child is different, but the player / caddie relationship is real. Golf is a lifelong sport that can provide lifelong lessons…what better way for a junior golfer to learn and grow as both a player and person!

Caddies For Kids provides that platform. We never knew that something so simple could make such a big impact to our kids and the game…Our family personally found it to be tried and true, and we hope that you do too.
