How to Start a Caddies For Kids Chapter
1. Learn about Caddies For Kids to understand its mission, values, and programs.
2. Identify the need and gauge the level of interest for a Caddies For Kids chapter in your community.
3. Understand the requirements and guidelines of a Caddies For Kids chapter and assess if you have the resources and commitment to meet them.
4. Complete an application with a detailed business plan, including goals, financial projections, marketing strategies, and program development.
* If you are an existing 501c3: The Caddies For Kids program can roll into your current offerings and become a “bolt-on” to your existing foundation and purpose.
* If you are not an existing 501c3: You will need to follow the requirements to obtain the necessary legal documentation and licenses to establish 501c3 status.
5. Once your application is approved and the Chapter License Agreement is in place, you will receive branding, licensing, technology, training, support, etc. from Caddies For Kids HQ to ensure you have all the tools needed to run a successful chapter.
Requirements and Guidelines
· Identify (1) Chapter President and (1) Program Director to lead the new chapter.
· Recruit a strong team that has a passion for youth development and a commitment to the mission and values of the Caddies For Kids program.
· Ensure all staff and volunteers complete background checks, training, and certifications.
· Create a detailed plan that outlines your goals, financial budget, strategies, and timelines for launching and operating the chapter.
· Form a board of directors, obtain necessary legal documentation and licenses, and establish 501c3 status.
· Secure adequate funding through individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and approved fundraising events to support the chapter’s operations and programming.
· Develop partnerships with high schools, coaches, junior golf tours, members, and community organizations.
· Follow the guidelines and standards set by Caddies For Kids to maintain consistency and quality while providing programming for all young participants.
